"Shake" is a song written by Austin Scholl and recorded under his alias ThornBrain. It was released on his second album, Nobody Cares Unless You're Pretty or Dying.
About
The song is about a person who is in love with a woman heavily involved in drug use and who fetishizes her mental decay. Unlike most other songs on the album, it is more electronic and inspired by bands such as Suicide and Depeche Mode. The song was originally written for Geizhals as a companion to "I'm Your Victim", a similarly dark and sexual song that includes a pun on the word "tender".
Lyrics
It's on me to work through
The chemicals in us
While you sit idoling by
A trail of venom down your cuss
I keep you locked
You're so much trouble for the free
Soon to be draped in virgin white
The only virgin will be me
Shake till you can't anymore
Shake till you can't anymore
Us alone out on the floor
Oh, she's like a dream
Hazy as she goes
Oh, she's like a dream
Immobile in her throes
Oh, she's like a dream
Thriving on your fears
Oh, she's like a dream
Forgotten when your head clears
Do you want to know how people try
To so easily define gender
Do you want a little tenderness
Or do you want your body tender
You grip so impassionately
Try not to think of you and me
You're like a dog's philosophy
His thought's a lost ability
Shake till you can't anymore
Shake till you can't anymore
Be my victim on the floor
