"I Forgot to Tell Them the Bridge is Out" is a song written by Austin Scholl and recorded under his alias ThornBrain. It was released on his second album, Nobody Cares Unless You're Pretty or Dying.

The song is narrated by a country Sheriff after pulling over a car of youths on a drug trip. To take care of them, he forgoes arresting them and simply directs them to an area that secretly leads to a dropoff, due to the bridge being out. The song is one of Thorn's oldest, being completely written before BlackholeWhitespace.

Hey, man, what you doin' out in nowhere
How much farther are you plannin' to run
Look a mess, white knuckles pullin' out hair
And the Borg Queen's riding shotgun

Thrill seekin', the nostalgia hits me hard there
I traded in the coke for a gun
Tell you what, you caught me on a good day
Drive straight, take a left and have fun

Never going back to Georgia
Never going south again
Never planning alchy roadtrips
Wasn't supposed to last just one weekend

Well, sheriff, just what was all that about
Why not book 'em, Don't worry deputy
I forgot to tell them the bridge is out
