Similar to how BhWs followed a theme of paranoia, Geizhals would follow various concepts of perception, be it the alteration thereof or offering contrarian points of view (for example, "Spider" mocks Arachnophobia by offering spiders as a metaphor for an unnoticed but more suitable lover than insects and dogs). "Spider" was the only song recorded before the album was canned; the final version of it will be included on the free companion EP to the new album. A handful of songs intended for Geizhals might also appear in the new album.

Geizhals is a shelved album by ThornBrain. It was to be the first full-length album written entirely by Thorn and the first album to be sold, but Thorn officially canceled the album in July 2013. He instead started working on Nobody Cares Unless You're Pretty or Dying. Musically the album was to be darker and heavier, featuring improved production, songwriting and singing from BlackholeWhitespace. A lack of motivation led to the project ending prematurely, and Thorn returned to recording with a more straightforward, Punk-inspired mindset for a separate album.

"Spider" was the only song recorded before the album was canned; the final, full-length version of it was included on the Spider compilation, and it was also included as a hidden track on Nobody Cares.... A handful of other songs intended for Geizhals later appeared on Nobody Cares....

TitleEdit

"Geizhals" is a German slang term for a greedy miser; it translates literally into "skinflint", and is used similarly to how "redneck" and "chav" are used in English as slang for a type of person.
